WANT TO HUSTLE MORE?
No! You’re not crazy, we are no longer in a place where we just want to survive, we want to thrive!
The biggest thing here is to just get honest with yourself, to do that ask yourself why? Why do you want to hustle more? Is it because it’s a new fad, it’s the new cool thing to do; it’s the right thing to do? Or are you not satisfied with your life? Do you feel like you were meant to do more or be more?
If you are currently in a roll of leadership, why are you doing it? Let us know below!
EGO ORIENTED
Lets get clear, if you are doing this for results, which of course we are doing it for results but I’m talking result oriented for the ego. If so you’re going to feel dissatisfied, like you are giving and giving and not receiving in return, you’re not getting anywhere…
It comes down to a perspective of a result rather than effort. This makes a huge difference when it comes to having a growth mindset. You want to focus on your efforts not your results. Yes when we are in business we need a certain level of results but I’m talking about on a personal level, why you’re pushing so hard and expecting so much out of yourself. So ask yourself if it’s the results that give you satisfaction or the efforts?
Another good question to ask yourself is “Am I comparing myself to others?” There is of course a healthy level on comparison but when there is frustration behind your comparison, a feeling of lack and unworthiness, negativity, dissatisfaction or disappointment, this thinking only decrease your level of satisfaction with life and what you’re doing rather than lifting you up and elevating you.
FOR THE GREATER GOOD
Are you stoked about life? Do you feel like you are hustling for the greater good? Are you executing because it is fulfilling, meaningful and purposeful, all of this will naturally make you excited, despite the struggles and burn out!
Is your perspective journey focused? Life becomes so fulfilling when your focus is put onto the journey rather than the destination. Instead of hustling to meat a monetary goal how do you think it would feel to be hustling so you can help as many people as possible and then just simply enjoying those people, and the time you get with them along the way!
I’m getting energized just talking about this, how do you think it would feel to be living it? It’s naturally energizing and exciting! So why wouldn’t you want to hustle for the greater good?
So keep pushing, keep hustling!
Until next time,
be good, be great and most of all be grateful,

MAXED OUT - HELP! CAN'T HACK IT ANYMORE?
If you feel like you are overwhelmed, exhausted, burnt out, drained, lost, hopeless or lacking inspiration, maybe even depressed? This is a major sign that something is out of balance. My hope is to give you a few tools today that can help get you out of this crazy mess.
These symptoms are pretty familiar for people, like you, who like to drive hard. Whether you are trying to level up in your business, your career, in the things that you aspire for, or even just to be a better friend, partner or better at life in general, this is a common feeling. You just need to restore the imbalances in your body. Right now your body is just trying to cope, but there is hope. You can overcome this!
So, let me explain how you got here. At some point you crossed your threshold. Meaning back in college you stayed out and partied hard, studied hard and lost sleep, and then the stress after graduation financially to pay things back set in. You could be a new mom and your hormones could be off not to mention days of sleeping in are long gone. Even the volatile ups and downs of owning your own business can cause these imbalances. There are so many reasons why we cross our threshold and stay crossed.
I know it can be overwhelming, so now what?
Lets back it up, it’s time to support our system right where it is at! Rest, Relax get to bed on time, catch up on sleep. I know sleep might sound counter productive to your go go go lifestyle but it will, in the long run, pay you back with more energy and a feeling of having more time. Also, try to wean yourself off of anything you might be relying on for energy and be sure to MOVE your body.
If you feel as if you are to depleted to MOVE or exercise try starting with at least 5-minutes a day of movement, meeting yourself at a conscious and intention place where you get present with your body. It could be as simple as 5-minutes of intention breathing. This is amazing if you expend a lot of mental energy in day.
Over time you’ll begin to notice a change in your energy, and it will become the new normal. But just like when you workout, when things start to get easier you add more weight, you add more reps, the same thing applies here. This will begin to increase your threshold and level up your energy! Then continue to keep rinsing and repeating!
I hope you found this helpful, if so let me know in the comments below.
Until next time,

5 EASY STEPS FOR MORE TIME & ENERGY
Not to long ago I ran a survey trying to figure out how I could better serve you and so many of you responded by wishing you had more time and energy. I GET IT! Time is something we can never get back. Each and every one of us only has 24 hours in day. I really became passionate about this after 10 years of adrenal fatigue, 10 years of feeling like I didn’t have enough energy or time to live my up to my fullest potential and peruse my dreams. That’s when I decided it was time to conquer this area of my life.
So how do we get more time and energy in life?
#1 SIMPLIFY
I talk a lot about the minimalism philosophy because I really do love it! This philosophy talks a lot about questioning question everything in your life, not just material things, but also, the things that you think, the things that you do, what you’re involved in, who you hang out with? Ask yourself, “Does this add value in my life?” Then take that a step further by asking yourself “Does this elevate my life?” Meaning does this bring me closer to my highest self? When you start asking yourself these questions you’ll begin to see dramatic shifts!
#2 OPTIMIZE
Optimize the things you already have. What I mean by optimize is to make the most out of it! This goes for the good and the challenging situations you might encounter in life. Some simple ways to incorporate this are as easy as asking yourself “What can I learn from this situations?” “How can I do it better next time?” As far as tasking and productivity you can create lists, focus on your flow and setting limits on things that don’t add value.
#3 REST
Believe it or not if you rest appropriately you will actually generate more time! How many of you have skipped your bedtime to stay up late so you could get more things done? So many of us fall victim to this, thinking that it will free up time for us in the future when in actuality robs us of our time and energy. I cant stress enough how important it is to get quality rest daily so you can wake up feeling rested, energized, excited and ready to take on your day.
#4 MOVE
Move regularly! I say MOVE not exercise; this means daily walks, gardening, yoga, dancing, or any kind of physical movement. Do this with intention; be present with your body. Listen to your body. For some of us we might be experiencing an energy deficit, if that’s the case, movement is still important, you just need to do it at your own pace, at your own level. This will cause and elevation in your energy levels, your physical health and your mental wellbeing… With a caveat, as long as you are taking to appropriately counter this movement with rest!
#5 KEEP YOUR MINDSET IN CHECK
Your mindset is responsible for so much, emotions, thoughts, chemistry within the body, stress, tension, the way that you move, think and perceive life, the list could go on and on! For example if you’re stressed, your body will follow and if your body is stressed its not maximizing energy and if you’re not maximizing your energy you’re not optimizing your time. We could all benefit from moments that allow us to refocus our minds, a lot of times all it takes is a deep breath in and out to relax and refocus our perspective.
May you be inspired to create, conquer and optimize!
Be good, be great, be grateful.

CREATING A HEALTHY WORK-LIFE BALANCE
I see you over there… Working hard, pushing hard, you’re dong a great job! I know you may not feel like it at the moment, maybe you feel like its not enough or you wish you could do more. Do you find yourself questioning if t his it, your max capacity? My hope is by the end of this post you’ll have a few new ideas on how to re-calibrate in order to have a healthy work life balance scenario. Because, I have a feeling you could not only use the balance in your life but I know you can so much more!
So you want more energy, time and balance in your life?
Let’s talk about the energy automation wheel.
It consists of 3 elements:
1. Work
2. Resonation
3. Enjoyment
The goal is to have balance in these three areas of your life.
Most of us tend to be over worked! Spending at least 90% of our time in this element! The remaining 10% typically goes towards errands, picking up the kids, cleaning the house, preparing for the next day and this still feels like work!
-or-
We tend to be good at working hard and playing hard leaving no time for restoration!
All of these things take energy out of our lives so if we are not taking time to restore that energy then we are going to feel depleted!
This goes for those of you that feel you don’t do much with your life, your schedule is pretty easy but you’re still feeling burnt out all the time, you’re exhausted, waking up tired all the time and find it hard to enjoy life. This is because you are missing the 3rd part of the wheel RESTORAION!
So how do we restore?
Imagine your energy as money. If you’re looking to get more money you typically do 1 of 2 things, or preferably both, you either save or invest your money.
· SAVE = Rest & Relaxation
· INVEST = Movement (this creates return of investment or more energy)
So in order to restore we need to take our time and we need to save and invest. To save we need to take time every single day to rest and relax. Make Time For This! Get to bed on time, take 5 minutes every 30-60 minutes to deep breath. Then invest your time into things that are going to return your investment, things like movement, if you need some inspiration try out The 5-minute MOVE challenge; this is going to create more energy. If you can manage your energy then you can manage your time and if you can mange your time you can be more productive, more fulfilled, you’re going to get more done and enjoy your time more!
I hope the time you just invested in reading this post has left you feeling more energized and inspired to find more balance in your life.
Until next time,

Overcoming Inflammation - Improve Your Health, Energy & Comfort
What is inflammation? The dictionary definition is a localized physical condition in which part of the body becomes reddened, swollen, hot, and often painful, especially as a reaction to injury or infection.
Inflammation is one of the root causes for many issues within our body. Most illnesses or dis-ease within the body has symptoms of inflammation.
Inflammation can cause:
Acidity - a breading ground for dis-ease
Migraines Headaches
Feelings of exhaustion
Weakened immune system
Slow healing
Lack of sleep
Pain or discomfort
The key to dealing with inflammation is to address it as soon as possible. The two main factors I like to focus on are pH and Blood Sugar levels. Doing so has really leveled up my health, energy and life.
So how do we deal with inflammation?
Tip. #1 PROPER FOOD, REST & HYDRATION
When you don’t sleep, your body becomes inflamed. When you eat acid forming foods, you body becomes inflamed. When you eat toxic foods, your body becomes inflamed. When you mix certain foods, like dairy, starches and meats your body becomes inflamed. You are 70-80% water, if you’re not drinking enough water you’re not replenishing what your cells need, not only to thrive, but to flush toxins and process the way it’s suppose to. Thats why FOOD, REST & HYDRATION are #1!
Tip #2 ANTI INFLAMMATORY FOODS
Fresh fruits and vegetables
Raw fruits and vegetables
Alkaline water - when you’ve worked out extra hard, you’re extra sore, if you’re feeling sick or experiencing higher levels off stress
Lemon water
Apple Cider Vinegar by itself or as a base in dressing
Digestive enzymes
Tip #3 AVOID STRESS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
Stress is necessary and unavoidable but at the same time the way we perceive stress is very devaluing to our health, well-being and prospective and experience of life. Stress is something that happens when we have reached our capacity, keep in mind I’m not saying completely avoid stress, you just need to implement the proper rehabilitation and restoration needed after times of stress to make it a positive thing for you.
Tip #4 MOVE YOUR BODY
Nothing is going to reset the system and get you feeling good and energetic like moving your body! You don’t have to do a massive HIIT program everyday, you don’t have to bust out the heavy weights, you just need to move. Walking, swimming, dancing, light weight or body cardio, all of this works, just keep it fun, simple and easy.
I hope these tips are helpful!
Have you had an issue with inflammation? What helped you? Feel free to leave you thoughts and comments below.
Until next time,

Cure Your Lack of Motivation by Doing this One Thing Daily
Have you ever found yourself in one of those cycles where you just don’t want to do anything? You have a hard time going from one thing to the next. If feels like you are moving through life without a purpose or without motivation. DO you find yourself filling your schedule with things to do, only to find you’re doing things but not the things that actually need to get done because you just don’t want to do them? You’re bored, uninspired, you feel.. Blah. This is called… Unmotivated.
So I get like this sometimes especially when I am over worked, overtimed and burnt out, but I have discovered that doing this one thing daily has the ability to erase it all!
That one thing is getting outside and MOVING!
I make a point to do this with my family daily and it starts with getting out and walking the dog as a family. Ive noticed if I wake up and they have already gone out the rest of my morning seriously feels like BLAH!
Getting out and moving has this profound ability to reconnect us to ourselves, our breath our bodies. It gets us out of our element, especially if you work from home like I do. I makes me feel like I am having an opportunity to experience something different and new. Even if you do this for only 5 minutes a day I guarantee you will feel more motivated, inspired and excited!
Here are some tips to keep in mind
Tip #1 SIMPLE, EASY & FUN
Make sure that, whatever it is you’re doing, you like.
Tip #2 BE OUTDOORS
Fresh air, sunshine, blue sky.. this ensures a feeling of reconnection. Connecting back to what you came from. Science has actually shown that taking time to look at a beautiful body of water a mountain or any nature scene cause our heart rate to slow down and helps us live longer!
Tip #3 LEAVE YOUR PHONE, THOUGHTS & WORRIES BEHIND
Doing this will help you stay present with nature, your interactions and in the moment. You’re phone, notifications, thoughts and worries aren’t going anywhere, you can always deal with them later.
Tip #4 PRESENCE OR QUIETUDE
If you take yourself out with others (which I highly encourage) take time to be mindful of your chatter. For instance if I went on a walk with my husband and we chatted the whole time about work and our todos essentially its just leaves is feeling like everything is piling up as opposed to feeling refreshed and ready to conquer or tasks. So take time for quiet presence even among others.
Tip #5 DO IT EVERYDAY
Do this for 7 - 10 days and see how you feel. you might realize you begin to need that morning walk, morning yoga on the patio or in the garden, in order to feel motivated and ready for your day.
Let me know if you have morning routine, how you make it fun and easy.
If you need some help getting started check out my 5 MINUTE MOVE CHALLENGE this is a sure fire way to feel more energized, motivated and inspired!
Until next time,

Getting Out Of Overtired Cycle
Have you ever felt like you are dragging through your day? Maybe you wake up feeling really tired and find it hard to get to sleep at night? Have you ever woken up in the wee hours of the morning but then you're unable to get back to sleep and before you know it the sun is up and you’re feeling exhausted?
These are major indicators that you are over tired and need more sleep!
Here is a little secret: Sleep begets sleep. Simply put you need to find a way to get more sleep. My hope is that I can provide a few tips here for you to do just that.
Step #1 Get to sleep earlier
It’s much easier to get to bed earlier than to try and sleep in. Sleeping in can sometimes off-set your day leaving you feeling groggy and clouded mentally. You also don’t receive as much quality sleep in comparison to if you had just gone to bed a bit earlier.
Set an alarm an hour earlier than your normal bed time to prepare to wind down.
Make your bedtime non- negotiable.
Be in bed 10-15 minutes early, with lights out, to get settled in.
Take time to notice when you begin to feel sleepy. For some of us this may happen early and we might feel as if it’s to early to be tired or to lay down, so we typically blow past this indicator and miss our sleep cycle!
Step #2 Take naps or schedule quiet time
Thats right, schedule a nap or quiet time, even if you don’t feel tired. Create the atmosphere; Dim the lights, diffuse calming essential oils, or play gentle music when you go to lay down. At first you might feel fidgety or find it hard to relax but as long as you remove distractions and make this a consistent practice, your body and mind will adjust, relax and eventually you might even fall asleep!
Set your alarm and start with 30 - 45 minute sessions to avoid over-napping and feeling sluggish.
If you have a lot of thoughts coming up during this time feel free to have a journal handy to jot down any ideas you don’t want to forget.
Step #3 Wake up slow
This doesn’t mean sleep in or stay in bed extra long, it just means to take your time to enjoy getting up. Don’t automatically reach for you phone or jump up and startle yourself out of bed. Take time to admire the sunlight or view from your window, stretch and feel you body, notice the support and comfort of your bed. Get out of bed with presence and intention for your day.
Step #4 Have a bedtime routine
Bedtime routines anchor the mind and body to expect and prepare for sleep. As long as you are performing the routine and getting to bed on time, it will become easier and easier. Think calming activities.
Taking a hot shower
Self massage using essential oils that calm
Stretch or foam roll
Reading
Listening to something that will soothe you
Avoid exciting TV shows or movies, thrilling novels, hyper activity, stress, worry, and work.
Step #5 Don’t be afraid to use help
There are so many wonderful tools to help calm the mind and body, i’ve listed a few already, but here they are again along with some others:
Essential oils - Lavender and Camomile are wonderful soothers
Self massage with these oils
Take a warm bath instead of a shower
Mediation, yes there is an app for that ;)
Brainwave audio - Binaural beats
Relaxing Sounds
CBD Oil (I use Hemp Life Today) - I favor this over melatonin
Herbal teas that promote sleepiness - Camomile, Valerian, Lemon Balm, Lavender
Keep in mind these things are available when you need help. Try not to become dependent on them to make sleep happen, the idea is we are training the body to be able to do it on its own.
If you have any other tips or tricks please feel free to share! I’d love to share other ways to get to sleep with our community!
May you sleep well,
Until next time,
-MJ
What to Do When Your Energy Drags
You know those days where you can’t seem to pick yourself up, it seems like you just can’t get through the day, and when you finally do, you’re exhausted?
You’re overwhelmed and feel like this feeling is never going to end unless you get a 6-12 month break from everything! But we know that’s probably not going to happen… These are typically signs that you are low on energy and you just need some catching up.
I have 5 simple tips for you to regain your energy so you can rock and conquer your day rather than dragging through it.
Tip #1 SIMPLIFY
Simplify as much as possible in your life.
Whether it is simplifying your schedule or simplifying the things you choose to put your energy into on a daily basis. We tend to have a habit of filling our spare time with screen time. (Example: 5 extra minutes = Scrolling through Facebook) What if we spent those few extra minutes taking a few deep breaths, moving our bodies, or doing something that creates centered focus and alignment? Believe it or not this will actually contribute to feeling more energized!
Tip #2 CATCH UP ON SLEEP
Lack of sleep, restoration, and poor balance can leave us feeling unmotivated and unenergized. To catch up on sleep try getting to bed early, sleep in or schedule a nap or quiet time. These things are crucial because a lot of time we feel like we don’t need more sleep in in fact you’re just overtired and need more sleep!
Tip #3 EAT FOR ENERGY
Most of the time, when we are tired, we do what’s easy: go out to the restaurant, grab fast food or snack of food that has little nutritional value. If your not providing your body with the nutrition that it needs to perform at its peak then you’re not going to have enough energy to do things as simple as your daily tasks! Eat for success, eat lots of vitamin and enzyme rich fruits and veggies, cook whole meals and take time to meal prep! Meal prepping is so worth it. A lot of people tell me they don’t have time to meal prep… That means you should really be meal prepping! Meal prepping allows you to cook once for half a week’s worth of meals.
Tip #4 START MOVING
Once you’ve mastered getting enough sleep and having your meals planned make time to MOVE every day! It could be as simple as taking a 5 minute walk or a 5 Minute Workout. Motion creates energy, happiness, motivation and drive that will propel you through your day!
Tip #5 RELAX & RESTORE
This is HUGE! And absolutely necessary when you’re working hard and playing hard. Here are some of my favorite ways to relax and restore:
Reflection
Mediation
Yoga
Getting outside
Being active
Whatever you do take time to relax without anything to do!
If you have a favorite way to inspire energy let the community know by leaving a comment below!
May you be energized,
