Taking time to regularly relax and mentally scan the body not only helps with body awareness but helps bring attention to areas of the body that may have tension, tightness or resistance that could be causing pain and discomfort. Using the power of our mind and breath we can consciously work to relax and release these areas of holding.
Find a comfortable position either sitting up or laying down. Use the video to follow along as I guide you through various areas of observation as we mentally scan our bodies. Inviting in awareness and breathing, allow yourself to observe your body and any sensations that come up for you. Use your workbook to write about what you found. Are there ways you can relax and restore areas of tension you may have discovered?
