Concept

Gratitude allow us to shift our perspective from the things that stress us out and make us feel overwhelmed to the things that we actually have. Gratitude creates feel-good endorphins, positive feelings and emotions. When we are in a state of gratitude, we produce more relaxed, inspiring and creative energy, this helps us shift to a state of restoration as well as bring appreciation into our focus.

Practice

Start your day by making a list of 5 things that you are truly grateful for in your life. If they were gone tomorrow would it completely change your life? Really take the time to think about this. Once you have your list spend 5 minutes (1 minute for each) to focus on how grateful you are for that thing and why. Focus on how it makes you feel. See if you can carry that feeling of gratitude with you throughout your entire day. Coming back to what you're grateful for if at any moment you become stressed or overwhelmed.
